There was a school shooting in

Cincinnati, Ohio today. A fourteen year old walked into the cafeteria and started shooting with a .38.
No one was killed

A 14-year-old male student is accused of shooting two other male teen students in the cafeteria of a Butler County school about 11:15 a.m. Monday.

Two other students were injured either by shrapnel or while trying to get out of the shooting area at Madison Jr/Sr High School in Madison Township, Butler County Sheriff Rick Jones said.

James Austin Hancock is the suspected shooter, Jones said. He is in custody and has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault, one count of inducing panic and making terrorist threats, all felonies.

"Imagine you are eating lunch, and all of a sudden there's an active shooter," Jones said.

The two boys shot, Cameron Smith, 15, and Cooper Caffery, 14, are in stable condition. The boys injuries are not considered to be life-threatening, Jones said.

1. Madison school district is actually Middletown, Ohio, about 20-30 min north.

About 5 miles or so away from my house.

They locked down the nearby district schools in response, and another high schooler was arrested at Middletown High in the afternoon for having a gun in his backpack.

We're actually about equidistant between Cinci and Dayton, hence the 'middle' part, I guess.

Decent breweries, lots of sausage, Maifests, Oktoberfests, Kristkindlmarkts, and the German magnet schools have always had lines down the block to try and get kids enrolled.
