And I suppose you can't blame them. They are no longer providing a service, they are more or less in it for the money. For sale to the highest bidder...sounds like they are a part of the oldest profession in the world now...and that profession is not Journalism.

When were they ever. Oh yes, CNN international actually does news every now and then, but that isn't broadcast here in the states. MSNBC...I've always considered them an opinion show that uses the news to get their ideas as to what opinion pieces they should present to the public.

and I was so grateful. On American TV all we get to hear about is the awful never ending electioneering coverage. It is abysmally embarrassing to see that this country is unable to provide world news to its people.

Without the Fairness Doctrine and with no competition because of the concentrated corporate ownership of media, the cable "news" and opinion channels have scant reason to serve the needs and wants of their viewers.

CNN got worst from me last night for their forever-long primary calling wait.
