Your posts (AND SCE's Sunday lolzcats) are the primary reasons I stay at DU. And, I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I've been so busy during the day lately that I've missed a lot of these. A good Friend is on his way out that I've been spending time with and Morel Mushroom season coming up that I'm trying to get ready for.

The last few years we've, my brother and I, mostly him, have been finding a lot of Morels on his 500 acres of woodlands. This last year we decided to keep track of just how many we find so we counted them each day and guess what we found 2035, thats a shitpot full of good eating I'm here to say. In fact my wife and I had a mess for supper a couple nights ago that we froze from last year. We've found 5 honey holes and will be looking for more as the season gets started. Its still early but I'd rather have days of none to be found because its too early as to wait until we find out its too late.

To Freeze. Get them ready as if you're fixing to cook them then put'em on a cookie sheet and put it in the freezer and let them freeze then drop'em into a freezer bag and stash'em for later awesome eating. Not as good as fresh but still mighty fine. Take them straight from the freezer to the frying pan, don't let 'm thaw. Thats how we do it anyway.
