BREAKING but no link: Trump face-puncher actually gets arrested and charged.

Coming across on tv right now, so I don't have a link. You've probably seen the video of the guy that sucker-punched a protester at a Trump rally, and they arrested the guy punched instead of the puncher.

Today, they finally arrested the 78 year old man, McGraw, for assaulting the protester, even though the protester was the one was originally handcuffed and hauled away.

A man is facing criminal charges after police say he assaulted a protester being removed from a rally for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in North Carolina, local television station WRAL reported on Thursday.

John McGraw, 78, of Linden, North Carolina, has been charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct, the news station said on its website. The incident on Wednesday night in Fayetteville was caught on video by bystanders.

Sheriff's officials could not be immediately reached for comment on Thursday.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office earlier told the Wall Street Journal it was investigating why officers arrested the protester but not the man who punched him in the face.

Um.....because the protester was black.

I'm with you on the coward thing, but it's not only cowardly but a really punk move. And every 78 year old in the world should be past the punk stage, whether they are brave or cowardly.

In this instance racism+herd mentality = violent reaction.

It's just good to know he didn't get away with it entirely.

I doubt the "investigation" into why the protester was taken down and handcuffed, while the assailant was not, will go far though. At best a weak slap on the hand for that offense.
