I'm having a rough day - am I reading this correctly?

President Obama's campaign on Tuesday released a get-out-the-vote video on Wednesday, featuring campaign volunteers telling voters "it's absolutely crucial that you come out and help."

"We need to get our rights back, we need to get our state back," says Laura H., a volunteer featured in the video.

On Tuesday, Mr. Obama took to Twitter to officially endorse Barrett. He wrote: "It's Election Day in Wisconsin tomorrow, and I'm standing by Tom Barrett. He'd make an outstanding governor. -bo."

Are they saying LAST Wednesday President Obama release a a gotv video?

Are they saying that President Obama is also mistaken about the correct day to vote?

Or did CBS just really screw up?

Time for some kind of investigation into activities that
are maliciously intended to deceive and disenfranchise.

But the 1st 2 paragraphs make it very clear that it is attempted suppression of democratic vote.

And the quotes from both sides reinforce that, with Walker's side admitting to hearing about it and denying any involvement.

Heh. They will do more than fail. They will put a national spotlight on their dirty tricks well in advance of November.

He's too infantile to hold public office.

Thanks for looking for the photos. Never have seen them before now. Very strange.

Working at Guantanamo would be a paid vacation for him.

he'll be the first jailbird to go to a federal pen wearing pink panties.

I have to say that I never had any problem with Arpaio building a tent city for minor criminals, and I never had any problem with him withholding various food additives (salt, pepper, sugar, mayonaise and coffee) from convicts who misbehave, but the pink underwear and pink prison uniforms were FAR over the line. Humiliation is not an accepted corrections measure in any civilized society, and if they'd done things like that in the old USSR I'm sure Arpaio would have been screaming blue bloody murder about it.

Well, as such, I hope they send him to the federal pen wearing a Hello Kitty outfit, and put him in with the general population. Some of whom might have worn his pink underwear at some point. They can exchange experiences.

All far right wing - it's all a lefty plot. You know, I think the book, The Republican Brain, was misnamed. Or maybe you can apply the tree falling in the forest analogy - if you have a brain and don't use it, is it really a brain? I mean, maybe in republicans, it's really just like an appendix. Doesn't serve a useful purpose and sometimes just has to be excised.

IMO, our biggest problem is the erosion of our democracy by unregulated capitalism. Any issues We The People face can be dealt with through our democracy. With the erosion of our democracy, especially through the propaganda machine and voter suppression (both symptoms of unregulated capitalism), We The People lose our ability to control our own destiny. I see no greater current threat to the human race than this given the profound influences environmental, economic, social and militarily the USA has on this planet. Well that's my two cents worth at any rate.

Have watched CBS exclusively since Pelley replaced Couric. He's fair to the President--a professional journalist and preferable to his counterparts on ABC and NBC.

22. Seriously, how HARD can it be to trace these F-ing robocalls?
Tue Jun 5, 2012, 05:09 PM
Jun 2012

We spend billions on the NSA trying to trace down the phone calls of a few flea-bitten terrorists, but it's impossible to trace down a gang of Karl Rove wannabees who are trying to subvert the democratic process of the United States?

I guess everybody is aware that the recent Canadian election was tipped by robocalls, and Canadian election officials (who are by law non-partisan) are actually working on finding out who did it. Why do law enforcement officials in the U.S. just shrug, smile, and say "boys will be boys?"

Surely robocalling to spread disinformation during elections is a violation of SOME federal election law?
