Do not make the mistake of underestimating Trump

Donald Trump is being greatly underestimated. A lot of people think of him as a clown, as a joke, as a billionaire celebrity who is doing this (running for President) for kicks. The media, the American public - many in the international world... are not taking his significance and his popularity as seriously as we all should.

Marco Rubio hinted at this in his concession speech last night, but I will say more bluntly what he hinted at: Donald Trump is the most dangerous man to peace and prosperity since Adolf Hitler.

Dust off those old history books, folks, open them up - and scan to the section where they mention the birth of the brown shirt movement, the third reich, the rise of the Nazi regime and it's maniacal leader. You will see several indications of his growing danger - the scapegoating of minorities, the violent rhetoric and actual violence that starts small... but continues to grow. The Nationalism, the flag waving, the contempt and even hate for political opponents, for people of different race/religion/orientation that continues to grow and come out in the open.

Why do you think he appeals so strongly to people like David Duke and Ann Coulter? The KKK? The birthers? The various hard right militia groups? Nobody... I will say this again and again until it sticks... nobody wants to "rebuild the military" to make peace. You do this for the purpose of making war. I have the highest respect for our military and it's members - and I do not, under any circumstances, want them to have a hateful, ignorant bigot for Commander in Chief.

More and more, you will hear and read rumors of violence, of riots, of blood in the streets. More and more, this violent movement will grow - it has been a long time in coming from the ranks of fanatics - and no, I am not talking about republicans. I am talking about extremists, about the next "brown shirt" movement that just might gain power here in America.

This man should be soundly defeated by both the left AND the right, because of the kind of hatred and violence he represents and almost gleefully encourages. Do not let history repeat itself. Learn from it. Make your message, your vote, one of peace, of compassion, of mutual respect and understanding for our differences, petty or great.

Don't take my word for it. Examine the message, listen to the things he says, read your history books and cross reference. Look at it as an experiment in political science, if you will. Do not make the mistake of thinking that Trump is just another politician, just another candidate - he isn't.

Be very wary of this man and his message. Be very wary of what the future would look like, under a Trump Presidency. It only begins with hateful rhetoric, wall building, scapegoating, violent rallies and ignorant statements. Such ignorance and hate grows when allowed to flourish. It grows into wars, into neighbors spying on neighbors, into international crimes, torture, things that no civilized Nation should ever encourage or applaud.

Ladies and Gentlemen... I present, for your consideration, the next Adolf Hitler, America's worst and most dangerous potential Dictator to have ever come into the spotlight: Donald Trump.

I believe we must defeat this man and his candidacy at any cost. Do not make the mistake of thinking he doesn't mean what he says. Do not make the mistake of underestimating him.
