Canada is the 6th happiest country on the planet?quality=70&strip=all&strip=all
Canadians may have a reputation for being a polite bunch, but it turns out we are also quite a happy group sixth happiest in the world, according to the 2016 World Happiness Report released Wednesday.
The UN report scores countries based on data that asks people from nations around the world to rate their lives from 0 to 10 on a variety of factors from life expectancy, social support and generosity, to the freedom to make life choices, the economy and perceptions of corruption.
Under those criteria, Canadians are happier than those living in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Denmark was declared the happiest country on earth.

We sure wouldn't want the US to move in THAT direction. You know.... up...

US is 13th out of 157 countries.
We seem to be unhappy because we have to be #1 at everything!

(10,362 posts)Let's go live at the North Pole, the penguins seem happy. And they include Switzerland, a banking haven. And oil countries like Norway. If only we could build an entire country that got wealthy with tax evasion.
I would much rather live in my state than any of those mentioned.
