Omaha woman gets jail time for starving pit bull puppy

An Omaha woman was sentenced Tuesday to 60 days in jail for letting her pit bull puppy starve to death.

Douglas County District Judge Greg Schatz imposed the sentence on Monica Andrews, 44.

Andrews had pleaded no contest to misdemeanor animal neglect after originally being charged with the felony version.
