I know we all can't stand Ted Cruz. And frankly, his wife might not be that great of a person if that's who she chose to marry. But all that aside, is there any reason why Donald Trump shouldn't be rightfully blasted for tweeting about Heidi Cruz based on her looks or salacious rumors about her mental health?
Same could be said about Megyn Kelly, whom obviously I'm not a fan of professionally. Or Carly Fiorina.
At a certain point, a line gets drawn no matter who's the target, and bad behavior is just inexcusably bad behavior.

(135,425 posts)bigger than just "misogyny" and "looks."
It started out with a Super PAC posting the naked pic of Melania on the fur rug, and snarking about this being the next first lady. It wasn't that asshole Cruz doing it or coordinating this.
Trump's reply was NOT about Heidi Cruz's looks--the "better watch out or I'll tell about your wife" was about a bizarre episode where she had a mental health crisis on the grassy verge of a busy roadway.
Then, later, The Donald retweeted a side-by-side photo comparison of an ugly pic of Heidi and a glamour shot of Melania. But that is NOT what he was going for with the "watch out or I'll tell" comments.
It's the MAIL, but it's presented succinctly, and it is accurate:
According to the 2005 report which DailyMail.com highlighted in June, Heidi Cruz, 43, had walked from her home after dinner on August 22.She then sat down beside N. Mopac and Enfield in Austin, at around 10pm.
While Mrs Cruz has not spoken out publicly about the incident, an adviser to her senator husband said she had experienced 'a brief bout of depression' ten years ago in response to questions about the police report.
A concerned passerby had made the call after spotting a woman in a pink shirt was just 'sitting in the area with her head in her hands.'

This is a man who not only looks artificial but is actually held up as an example for roboticists to NOT follow. His inventor has failed to leave his evil laboratory in shame.

I'm no fan of Megyn Kelly--her positions on the issues are too far right for me--but judge her on the way she does her job, not by her gender!

(3,585 posts)for GQ, she was a big time model at the time, Cruz had nothing to do with it.
Trump on the other hand personally went after Heidi with a truly personal attack, delivered by him personally.
Trump who has owned strip joints, went after Kelly using menstruation from "her wherever" as the insult.
Fighters probably aren't too popular here, but Trump is the kind of guy that I used to like forcing down in front of his 'boys'.
