What's The Latest On The Ted Cruz National Enquirer Infidelity Piece?.....

Last I heard is that Ted says it's garbage and a dirty trick by Trump - but has anyone else verified the piece and says it's true? The other thing I heard is that this might be the work of the Rubio campaign - but Rubio suspended his campaign. Why after Rubio is out of the race would his people release this? What's the latest scoop on this?

Theres been a few other Anonymous bits of confirmation, which are not in any way confirmed as true.

Ted used it to attack Trump, but that's nonsense as it was the Rubio campaign that shopped it for over a month.

The NE is standing behind the story.

There is pretty unequivocally some footage of Cruz leaving the same hotel/bar on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the same woman. Amanda Carpenter I believe. The Rubio campaign shopped that around as well.

There's NO attempt being made by any of the MSM to investigate the story as far as we can tell... Lots of effort to play it down.

That's about it.

The National Enquirer took that rumor and began looking into it. Their findings (or not) came out in the recent issue. So, it was the initial rubio campaign charge that led to the current situation. The delay was developing the article.

No one has come forward to verify the claims in the article are true, but you can bet people are trying to get at least one of the women to talk on record about it. The National Enquirer has a history of being correct on these types of stories. They know how to protect themselves from lawsuits.

cruz's charge that this is a trump hit piece is absolute nonsense.

Glad to see the GOP is eating their own. Love it, pure schadenfreude! And I'll bet all the righties who delighted in Bill Clinton's sex scandals are equally as zealous in denigrating Ted Cruz ... right???

They once defended a lawsuit by arguing - successfully - that everyone knows they just make stuff up. They had a picture of Bill Clinton and and alien, once had a picture of an 80 year old JFL peeking out of the window from an upstairs White House window, etc etc

Anonymous appears to have known the scoop early last week. They warned Ted to pull out of the race "or else."
