The Georgia Hate Law got vetoed because of PRESSURE, not good will.

I don't care what anyone says. The governor would have signed it were it not for the likes of home town company Coca Cola and the major corporations who threatened economic Armageddon if he signed this shit bill into law. The corporations, in turn, took this posture because people - P E O P L E - put pressure on them.

Good for everyone who is on the right side of these issues. Congratulations! You won this battle.

Yeah I'm one of those people who wishes our goals could be accomplished simply because we are on the right side of the law, morality and justice, but unfortunately the language of money is the only one repukes speak. So if it takes corporations threatening monitory losses on Georgia to convince them, so be it! I'm just happy when the right thing gets done.

Nathan Deal would have held a massive signing ceremony with every fundie preacher in the city standing prayerfully around him if he thought he could get away with it.

The pressure was deserved, no company especially a multinational could stand by while this kind of shit took place.

Now if only the pressure will ratchet up on NC.

hand and still have fingers left. There is no "good will" among that lot. This bill has been a calculated ploy for the extreme right wing vote for years. It keeps coming back and it keeps getting worse. And when it doesn't pass these shitheels use it to campaign and fundraise the next year. It's a carrot on a stick for the bigot vote.

It'll be back next session, and will again (hopefully) be defeated in the 11th hour.

after Gov. McPervert signed HB 2 that his merry band of bigots in the NC Legislature passed in their
rushed, special session last Wednesday without bothering to get public input.

Really, who gets their panties all in a twist about who is using what bathroom? Just another case of
projection from the real perverts--the Republicans--who are obsessed with who has a penis and what
is being done with it.
