http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2016-03-28/dc-madams-attorney-says-call-log-bombshell-could-upend-presidential-raceI have no idea who it is, but here are my own purely speculative thoughts on the possibilities:
Sanders - nothing there
Clinton - maybe the Big Dog, but I doubt it.
Trump - nope.
Cruz - sure seems like the kind of guy it could be.
Kasich - yeah. That's who my money's on.

(1,644 posts)former Pres. Clinton is capable anymore. His health is obviously failing. Also, not needing to pay does not necessarily mean a man would not patronize professionals, for whatever reason. (Charlie Sheen, for instance). Motivations are unpredictable.

I don't think he'd pay for it. I don't think he'd make himself that vulnerable.
He bounces all over the world. If you wanted to cheat, there are much easier and less riskier ways to do it. And I'm not saying that he's doing it.
This just does not seem to be his style.

From Wikipedia:
Between 1999 and 2003, he was the Director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission, an Associate Deputy Attorney General at the United States Department of Justice, and domestic policy advisor to George W. Bush on the 2000 George W. Bush presidential campaign.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Cruz
Too gross to imagine, but then again, he would be the one who would need to pay for human contact.

(5,044 posts)I think the Cruz thing makes sense in light of the recent National Inquirer story, additionally I read somewhere today his wife has been void of all public appearances since it happened. Good ole "Lyi'n Cruz".
As for Kasich, he's a grimy human being. Eighteen years in DC, he and the Madam probably had a thing together.

(18,115 posts)to secure enough to delegates to block a first round trump nomination. To that end, Kasich still peels some delegates in the non winner take all states and if he can win just one or two fonts winner take all states, it could make the difference. Cruz and Kasich need to get about 415 delegates more to block a first round trump.

(13,776 posts)It could be that the lawyer thinks that something involving Bill Clinton matters any more, but it's not exactly news that he has transgressed.
Kasich doesn't really matter. And apparently the timeline says it's not Cruz. I may be biased but it sure doesn't seem in character for Bernie. So it might just be some boring old Bill Clinton stuff and the lawyer just wants his 15 minutes.

(10,429 posts)I mean, everybody knows about his womanizing. That wouldn't blow the lid off of anything. Somehow, I don't think it was Bernie. He's too much of a mensch. Unless Bill got caught with a dead girl or a live boy, that's old news and wouldn't hurt Hillary's chances. So, it's either Kasich or Cruz. My money is on Cruz.

Sanders was there; but, I just can't see it.
The Big Dog didn't need an escort service and, I doubt a seating President would need to call one from a cell phone that would be about to be linked to him.
I don't think Trump calling a escort service would effect his run ... Hell, given his base ... it would no doubt give him a bump.
That leaves Cruz ... who was in DC/on the DC scene at the time, and would be most hurt by it.
But then, I can't even imagine the wife of a seating President getting caught up ... But that would be a game changer.

(3,261 posts)Cruz is the other possibility. Sanders isn't the type and he wouldn't have run if he had any skeletons like that in his closet. I don't think Trump is a paying for sex kind of guy and even if he were, no one would care. The man is an adulterer who has talked about his daughter's hotness and he still leads the GOP race. Clinton would have cooled his jets around the time that this stuff was going on so I don't think it's him. Plus, the Clinton sex narrative has been played out. No one wants to hear about that anymore. In Kasich's case, it could explain the hesitancy of anyone in the GOP to truly embrace him. He's saying he will be the guy coming out of a brokered convention but no one in the GOP seems to be rallying around him, and they never have. It could be that they know he is damaged goods.

(111,277 posts)It was some years ago and we all know he thinks of women the way he thinks of cars, trading them in on spiffy new models every few years while test driving other models all the time. He'd want discretion and Madams with ultra high priced call girls would provide it.
The only reason it's not likely Sanders is that he'd use a more reasonably priced escort service if he needed companionship for a night.

(1,089 posts)Trump - No one would care. Everyone knows he's a freaking pig and news that he hired hookers would not affect the election at all.
Kasich - Outing him wouldn't affect the election. He's not winning anyway.
Sanders - That'd be a stunner.
HRC - Now THAT would be a stunner.
Cruz - Fits the profile - holier than thou bullcrap spewing out of his cakehole constantly, smarmy and obviously a hypocrite. In fact, I think he's got closeted gay man written all over him.
Maybe that's it, since we're just speculating anyway - it's Cruz and he wanted the company of men. I can't think of anything more delicious than that, and it would certainly affect the election. We know how the repukes feel about those icky gay folks.
PearliePoo2
(7,768 posts)Remember, the Enquirer article about icky Ted mentioned "hooker" , so yeah my money is on the creepy, weasel Ted. And I agree, he could go either way, boy or girl. Hillary would indeed be a stunner, either boy or girl. I can't imagine it, but I've been clueless many times before!
