it's been related here on DU about Wendy Bell's remarks on her facebook page. Well today she was fired, her facebook page is down and her profile on station WTAE's web site is down.

Nope, not even remotely close to a speech issue. But they dont care, what they care about is preserving their right to be bigots and racists and not pay a penalty for it.

(4,033 posts)These remarks were made after 5 African-Americans were killed in Wilkinsburg, a suburb of Pittsburgh.
She stated that the 2 shooters were African-American males, brought up by a single mother, unknown fathers, etc.
They were disparaging.

She noted, in part, You needn't be a criminal profiler to draw a mental sketch of the killers who broke so many hearts two weeks ago Wednesday.... They are young black men, likely teens or in their early 20s. They have multiple siblings from multiple fathers and their mothers work multiple jobs.
