This is my 1000th post

I never thought I would get here. I was simply a daily lurker on this site for over 4 years. It wasn't until 2008 that I finally signed up as a member mainly to make snarky replies to threads I found interesting.

I miss the "Top Ten Conservative Idiots" each week. I guess the list became too large to rank each week.

I have been fortunate enough to have one post hold the top spot on the greatest thread page for a day. A feat I am still proud of.

I rarely post, as I do not feel as though I can compete with the knowledge of the many commenters on this wonderful blog.

So a great thank you to all of you for keeping me engaged in this activity known as politics. You have done the speaking for me.
