Evin and Minnie have been inseparable since the day they met.
"My boyfriend (Jesse) is a dairy farmer. Evin was the sweetest barn cat and Jesse fell in love with him. He brought him home for me for Christmas '14. " Jessica Ryan told Love Meow.
"And then we found Minnie's litter and couldn't resist him since he was a mini version of Evin! Since then we've worked diligently to catch the barn cats and get them each fixed. So there's no more litters."
After Minnie moved into his new home, Evin took to him immediately.
Minnie became quite attached to Evin. He wouldn't go anywhere without him.
Sometimes Evin wanted some privacy but Minnie was not giving it.
He wanted to be where Evin was at all time.
"He doesn't care if there's room for him or not."

Edit: The story is written in first person, but the cats are not mine, unfortunately. I really wish they were...

(50,561 posts)If you bring a weaned kitten into your house and you own an orange cat, the orange cat will become its surrogate mother...which sounds strange because most orange cats are male, but it's also true. My Kenny served as the mama cat for about six different kittens.

(6,642 posts)then we brought in a little kitten from the street during a cold winter season. Well, the Maine Coon just loved him, took over and acted like his mother. They were inseparable until the day Maine Coon suddenly died.

(20,208 posts)I love ginger's personalities. Lucky for me I got adopted by one in '14.

(3,764 posts)but a friend of mine has an orange tabby that is female. But they aren't as rare as male calicos. Orange cats are about 80% male.

(6,133 posts)The first is tiny and the second is huge, and they are both tortoiseshells.
I cannot get such a pretty picture like you get with your two gingers.
I swear to God, tortoiseshells are the best camouflage ever invented. You don't know where one cat ends or begins.
I love my cats as much as you do. Cats are amazing.
I love the pictures.

(9,298 posts)I have 2 orange critters, Georgy and Rufus ages 10 and 3, respectively. They're inseparable perhaps because they were orphans who just showed up on my terrace out of the blue. They are so dear to me, and guess I'm partial to ginger boys. These photos are truly beautiful, and glad these boys are well taken care of.
