(17,796 posts)6. No, they are dumpastic....
And unfortunately very real, I wish they were like the 'Bernie Bros'.
baldguy
(36,649 posts)8. Ah, so you think Bernie Bros are mythical.
Funny that Bernie doesn't agree:
from Jan: The Bernie Bros Are A Problem And The Sanders Campaign Is Trying To Stop Them
On Thursday, the BBC catalogued social media attacks on black pundits and women who opine on Bernie. Mashable posted a ton of screenshots of Bro attacks Friday morning.
Their vaginas are making terrible choices! wrote a Sanders supporter in the comments under a photo of New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Clinton. The New Yorkers Emily Nussbaum recently complained of being called a psycho and a bitch on Twitter after saying something positive about Clinton.
A lot of the Bernie Bro activity is short of that kind of open harassment, and is more shouty explaining, or smug mansplaining. It is, though, a style of discourse thats anathema to the progressive, feminist quarters of the internet that share many of Sanders policy views.
from Feb: Bernie Sanders Condemns Supporters Sexist Comments About Hillary Clinton
Jake Tapper asked Sen. Sanders (I-Vt.) about the phenomenon of his backers saying sexist things to supporters of Hillary Clinton, his rival for the Democratic nomination, on CNNs State of the Union on Sunday.
Sanders renounced them unequivocally.
I have heard about it. Its disgusting, Sanders said. Look, we dont want that crap. ... We will do everything we can and I think we have tried. Look, anybody who is supporting me that is doing the sexist things is we dont want them. I dont want them. That is not what this campaign is about.
from Mar: Bernie Sanderss most vitriolic supporters really test the meaning of the word progressive
Something -- we cannot say what -- inside certain corners of the ostensibly progressive and overwhelmingly white ranks of Sanders voters is amiss. There is a pattern -- demonstrated time and time again -- by both Sanders and some Sanders supporters of racial cluelessness, an infantilizing and almost colonial kind of condescension about policy, and a tendency to react to anyone who points that out by, well, supplying even more evidence of racial tone-deafness, self-ordained intellectual superiority and sometimes completely open displays of various forms of outright bigotry.
That's right. We said it. In trying to make their case, Sanders, and far more often some subset of his supporters, behave in ways that are difficult to square with their claims to progressive politics and building a more inclusive and egalitarian society.

(36,649 posts)18. It's not my fault you can't see the similarities
Or accept the fact that the Bernie Bros will become Trump supporters once Sanders concedes.
