Doesn't sound like it to me. I don't believe a single cent of public money should ever be given to a school that claims to be private. If we allow tax dollars to go to a school, we then, should have a say in how the school is run. It just isn't private when public money is used to support it.

Same goes for "private" prisons. How are they private, when it's public money that is used to fund them?

Insanity.

I agree, but with a caveat:

We should not provide them with any additional security above and beyond what is given to any private citizen or company.
If they have an acute need, then they have a right to police protection. But any pre-need protection should be considered a cost of doing business, and they should pay for it.
