Billionaire Steve Wynn: "Rich people only like being around rich people, not around poor people"

Nobody likes being around poor people: Casino CEO
by Paul R. La Monica
April 8, 2016

Casino owner Steve Wynn seems to have crapped out with some recent comments he made about the poor.

Wynn, the CEO of Wynn Resorts (WYNN), said during his company's investor day presentation late Wednesday that wealthy gamblers who come to his high-end casinos don't want the less fortunate hanging around with them.

"Rich people only like being around rich people," he said. "Nobody likes being around poor people, especially poor people." Wynn added that he was trying to make his company like a Chanel or Louis Vuitton of the gambling world.

Wynn Resorts was not immediately available for further comment about Steve Wynn's remarks.

That absolves me from snickering to myself when I saw him trip once. I felt bad that I did that...not anymore!

It's just so funny that he is an enthusiastic collector of art that was executed by so many poor artists. Bet he'd have snubbed Van Gogh because of his shoddy attire.

But would be highly offended. Steve Wynn is ignorant in his "wealth". His comment makes me pity him because with all that money, he has absolutely nothing.

What is interesting is I see people that are not rich, maybe upper middle class who THINK they are rich, and probably subscribe to this. I think that is why they vote republican and always dissing on the welfare queens or those less fortunate. Pisses me off.

I guess being a manager of a mobile home park makes one more empathetic to the plight of the poor in this country.

They vote straight GOP and they feel that way because of guilt. Its easier to associate with other like-minded assholes and forget the degree to which this special breed of douchewaffle makes their fortunes by hiding from taxes, bilking from payrolls and flat out stealing in the first place.

These are the kind of people who make me physically ill and the kind who will either learn to share their fortune or will be brought to the guillotine before all is said and done.

Does Vegas really bring out the asshole in people like this? Is the the sun that bleaches the brain? Or the money that turns them into blithering fucking toads?
