Here is why TV in the UK never interviews Dennis Skinner, live :




I saw him snarling aggressively at every question by a thoroughly shaken interviewer, thirty years ago, and it was the last time ! Tee ! hee ! The Tories call him The Beast of Bolsover. I think he was once a miner.

via a particular tax-haven, in which he and/or his father had squirreled away wee nest-eggs, but which he had spared from legislation requiring transparency from off-shore 'pirates' caves (Here be treasure X...), Dennis' describing him as 'dodgy' was perfectly factual ; etymologically, at least, and ergo not slanderous.
