Get This: Trump's Plane isn't Registered to Fly. 'Whoopsie'!

One of the private jets Donald Trump uses to travel while campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination is not registered with the Federal Aviation Administration, records show.

As the New York Times reported, the registration for the fixed-wing, multi-engine Cessna jet expired on Jan. 31 and hasn't been renewed. A FAA spokesperson also confirms that the plane’s registration had expired.

The FAA are notorious and could well have "lost" the registration. Go read the former GAO reports going back decades on the FAA actually not being able to account for about 30% of pilots, registrations, etc.

I won't even go into the ones that are supposed to oversee airlines.

Just one of the reasons I will NOT get on an airline that is not unionized. They are a passenger's last defense.

Aircraft registration used to never expire. Now it has to be renewed every 3 years. The new process was implemented to address some of the problems you mentioned.

It's more likely whoever manages Trumps plane neglected to renew the registration.

If a registration is in expiration for 90 days (which it will be in 11 more days), the FAA can cancel his registration number and it will be unavailable for 5 years. This means Trump will have to pay to re-register the aircraft from scratch and all the insurance and tons of paperwork will have to be changed, along with repainting the numbers on the plane itself.

The Trump campaign doesn't dispute that the Cessna's registration is expired. But do you libruls have any idea how expensive this registration is? Huh? Do you? It's FIVE DOLLARS for a measly three years.

It costs $5 to renew the registration, which lasts up to three years, according to the Times. The FAA told the newspaper that maximum penalties for flying without registration include "a civil penalty of up to $27,500, a criminal fine of up to $250,000 and imprisonment for up to three years."
