Optimistic? Pessimistic?

Specific candidates aside - after all, this is not GD-P - what is your overall sense of "how things are going."

LGBT discrimination
Global warming/Denialism
Conservative insanity
Supreme Court
Non-stop politics and judicial battles on everything
Congressional obstructionism
Frayed safety net
Gig/1099 economy
College grads working seemingly endless stream of low paid or unpaid internships
Never ending war
Environmental degradation
Continued outsourcing or reshoring of jobs but little hiring, I.e., jobless recovery. What recovery?
Income inequality
Shareholder value, I.e., screw employees
Student debt exceeding $1 trillion
Speaking of $1 trillion, how about the lifetime cost of the F-35, which is $1.4 trillion
Calls for secession by R governors
Etc.

You can add to this list. Or not. Don't care.

My point? I'm not optimistic about the future, regardless of who is elected.
