'The most unifying decision' (TN)

With a majority .. saying MTSU needs to come together over a "polarizing" issue, the Forrest Hall Task Force is recommending a name change for the university's ROTC building.

"I believe for the students of the campus, it is the most unifying decision this committee can make," Student Government Association representative Grant Marshall said Tuesday.

Marshall, one of 15 panel members appointed by MTSU President Sidney McPhee to study the issue and make a recommendation, admitted the committee's meetings over the last five months have been "embarrassing at some points" because of people's behavior in dealing with the divisive matter. But he said he looked at the issue "analytically" and decided a name change would most benefit the university.
