In 1979, we had the Great Train Robbery with Sean Connery. In 2016, we have the Great Party Robbery with Donald Trump.

There was nothing the Republican establishment could throw at him that would stop Republicans from voting for him. The old issues of abortion, tax cuts, strong war talk, had no bearing on the elections. The old reliable conservative issues were nothing more than fool's gold.

In the blink of an eye, an entire national Party has been taken over by a madman and a megalomaniac. With his landslide vote in his home state of New York, the GOP will have little choice but to follow the wishes of their voters. Otherwise, they risk splitting their Party in a dramatic way.

Will Trump get away with it? Or will the GOP decide to stop the Donald?
