Joe Walsh from Eagles kicks ass. He has cancelled a concert in OH ...Read Why!!!!

A Statement From Joe Walsh Regarding His Withdrawl From a Concert Event on Monday, July 18th in Cleveland, OH

April 20, 2016 - "It was my understanding that I was playing a concert which was a non partisan event to benefit the families of American veterans on Monday, July 18 in Cleveland. The admat I approved said this specifically. Today it was announced that this event is, in fact, a launch for the Republican National Convention. In addition, my name is to be used to raise sponsorship dollars for convention-related purposes. Therefore, I must humbly withdraw my participation in this event with apologies to any fans or veterans and their families that I might disappoint.

I am very concerned about the rampant vitriol, fear-mongering and bullying coming from the current Republican campaigns. It is both isolationist and spiteful. I cannot in good conscience endorse the Republican party in any way. I will look at doing a veteran related benefit concert later this year."

Seems people are having a sad that they have been affiliated with the GOP.

I'm a Republican and I like you - or what I know of you - and I don't think it's wrong to pull out when you find it's a fund raiser. BUT to lump all Republicans in the same boat? Not fair. Plus, how do you explain the violent vitriol on the part of the "Anti-Trump" people? How is that any better? Would appreciate it if you could explain that please.

As a Conservative I am sorry you feel the way you do towards those who have different ideology. That being said, I agree with your decision to bow out if the contract was written to be an apolitical event for veterans and not as a for PAC funds. I would hope the same decision would have been made if it was the DNC with all things being equal. Love the years of music and the unique sound you have. Rock in Roll Joe

Wow. Can understand you not wanting to get involved in politics. But to call out the Republican Party? How about the Democrats? No vitriol there? I find your statement very insulting. Especially since I have been a long time supporter and have spent many dollars seeing you and the Eagles in concert numerous times. Now I'm second guessing my purchase of tickets to Joe Walsh/bad company. Not sure if I feel like going.

this was my fave, so far:

I've been a fan of his since I was five or six but I'm so sick and tired of artist throwing everything at the Republicans! I'm sure that the Veterans that have fought for this Country will maybe understand but I'm sure that MANY Veterans are REPUBLICANS and they WILL NOT understand! Enjoy your HIGH LIBERAL LIFE JOE!

This makes no sense:

No problem Joe. If you just said that you don't do concerts for political purposes that would be fine. Since you feel the need to take a stance then as for your music... I'll just Walk Away.
Dog forbid he actually tried to explain...

These people are strange...
