Brawl breaks out among protesters after school installed a gender-neutral bathroom

LOS ANGELES (KABC) --
A fight broke out Tuesday afternoon at a Los Angeles high school that recently installed gender-neutral bathrooms.

The Los Angeles School Police Department said the scuffle involved students from Santee Education Complex and adults who were protesting the newly installed restrooms.

The protesters were across the street from the school carrying signs and a bullhorn, authorities stated. When classes were dismissed, police said several students crossed the street and confronted the protesters.

Police said some students began throwing objects at the protesters and then a fight occurred.

and the right-wing noise machine as a whole. A few disgusting bigots gin ignorant people up into a fever of hate-filled 'christian' 'concern' about how transgender people are gonna somehow assault them in the school or office restroom and

It doesnt make sense for a large place to go from 2 large bathrooms to 20 single occupancy bathrooms.

The newer Publix supermarkets here have one for each sex then in between is one for single occupancy - or families.

It makes sense - men or women shopping with their children can take them into that larger single occupancy restroom. Transgender people can go in with no questions asked. Since it is larger than normal it is also wheelchair/handicap accessible if the single accessible stall in either of the other restrooms is occupies. It also gives a place while the other restrooms are being cleaned.

I've been to a few other places with the same set up and I think it is a brilliant solution!
