"America has always been best when she is lying down with her back on the mat..."

The late-night hosts are having a lot of fun with that Ted Cruz quote.

He also said:

“This is the year of the outsider. I am an outsider, Bernie Sanders is an outsider. Both with the same diagnosis, but both with very different paths to healing.”

or wrestling metaphors, or whatever, when taken wildly out of context.

I think it happens to sound VERY sexual, by accident.

"You may have been knocked down, but America has always been best when she is lying down with her back on the mat and the crowd has given the final count. It is time for us to get up, shake it off and be who we were destined to be."

I cringe when the media finds anything that they can turn into a junior high romp about sex, as though we are all junior high boys.

If I wasn't tired I would elaborate on how juvenile the media is about body parts and secretions, you can practically hear the giggling because the scientist brought up 'pee pees', or 'poop' or tee hee, hee, 'girl parts', or sex, I find it bizarre.

If that's the full quote and some in the media are trying make it sexual, then they truly are making up the news as they go along.

There's no way in hell you can construe that full quote as some kind of leering sexual innuendo.

"I cringe when the media finds anything that they can turn into a junior high romp about sex..."

Or candidates discussing hand size at a policy debate-- because sometimes, those actually involved really are little more than junior high boys giggling about sex.

One can easily add to the end of it, "It's time to get up and be who we were destined to be: concussed, violent, and still trying to fight after the match is over."

The crowd, after all, has already given the final count, see?
