I don't think I've seen a single commercial break on...

...CNN or MSNBC since the news broke of Prince's passing.

Not only that, these news outfits are actually shining right now. Hmmmm...what to make of that compared to the circus they put on when doing politics.

Prince is newsworthy, but no entertainer deserves wall to wall coverage. Emblematic of what is wrong with "news" providers.

It's a nice break from the political shit storm that drags on elsewhere in the "news", though a sad one.

I love the way George Harrison's son starts smiling when the lead in to Prince's solo starts and then all through the rest of the song as he watches Prince do his thing. What a performance!

Any update on cause, anything else?

If not, it isn't news, it's a eulogy.

Not saying it isn't warranted (he certainly was a notable artist), but it isn't news.

In other news today, a 2 year old "accidentally" killed himself with his mother's loaded handgun that was left in his reach.

No eulogies for that child, though. Or the many more like him every year. And no chance for those kids to grow up to become creative geniuses, great diplomats, amazing mathematicians, or anything else.

Sorry if that's being too contrarian, but I read the thread on the 2 year old (which I'm sure has since sunk to at least the third page) right before I saw the first of several on Prince. It just hit me that way.

CNN has started talking politics again. I imagine they'll spend most of today on Prince, but they can't miss too much time talking about Trump, now can they?
