Fun Prince fact: "Darling Nikki" caused Tipper Gore to found the Parents Resource Music Center!

After Tipper Gore heard her 12-year-old daughter Karenna listening to Prince's song "Darling Nikki", she founded the Parents Music Resource Center. The center advocates the mandatory use of a warning label ("Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics&quot

on the covers of records that have been judged to contain language or lyrical content unsuitable for minors. The recording industry later voluntarily complied with this request.

Ratings do help parents monitor what their children see in movies and what they will allow them to buy. I didn't really worry about that much with my kids they didn't like violent movies or movies with a lot of sexual and or romantic content. Nor did they like music with a lot of curse words.

Near the end of the song, the music stops into the sound of rain and wind. There is singing, but played in reverse. The vocals, unreversed, are Prince singing,

I had an idea for a fanfiction Ambiguously Gay Duo where Ace and Gary were chasing a diamond thief through an airport. One of them tripped the thief, and the bag spilled all over the floor. Gary yells "Ace! The diamonds!" and the two of them run over and start scooping them back into the bag. One on top of the other, of course.

Most expected him to support the PMRC but some stations had refused to play Rocky Mountain High because they thought it had a drug connection so he was very much against censorship of any kind.

WTF @ 29:23 two parent working phenomenon shit = one parent incomes will not cover it anymore because the rich must have more now because Raygun phase 2.
