That is big, bloody surgery that probably would have required a blood transfusion. As a Jehovah's Witness, that would have been unacceptable. So he may have just been in constant pain. In his weakened condition (flu) it may have been easier to overdose.

narcan is used to save from od's usually opioids. but it could have been a prescription pain killer. we don't know what other health issues he may have had and what treatment he might have gotten. death from prescribed pain killers is becoming a serious problem in this country. it doesn't mean he stopped being antidrug...things happen...people who need pain meds sometimes take too much. i am not saying i know, just that it may not be what it looks like.

i think its cool that he was vegan and antidrug, esp in that world.

and Prince wouldn't be the first person to die from it. It scares me how callous some people can be.

I get it. You do not want people to start saying things that a little later turn out to be false. Sometimes when that happens even though it is proven the rumor is false some do not get the notice and years later they are still passing on false information. That causes a false story to linger for years.

How hard is it to get a private room in a hospital? Especially if you're a very wealthy (and private) celebrity.

He wouldn't get the surgery because, as a Jehovah's Witness, he would not accept a blood transfusion. He had to be in considerable pain. So he may have overdosed on prescription opiates. Also, opiates depress resperation, so that combined with the flu could have done it.

Not getting proper medical attention for it was his choice, but clearly not a good one. I hate to see anyone's name tainted by drug use (allegedly at this point). We'll have to see what comes out in a few weeks.

If he was taking anti-seizure medication, plus pain killers, plus having a bad case of the flu could have been a deadly combination.
