His plane stopped, he went to a hospital, he got the NARCAN dose, and they didn't have a private room (they wanted to keep him) so he left.

He obviously needed help.

TMZ had it that he got s life saving medication. But they aren't the most credible.

an hour long bio on MSNBC of all places, with his biographer Turre' (sp?) and he said that drugs weren't a part of his world, other around him did them but he wouldn't join them. If it was a drug thing, it may have been from prescribed for an actual illness, he also had hip problems that may have required drugs but it doesn't seem that recreational use was something he was into.

I'll wait for the actual autopsy report.

The special on MSNBC is repeating and you can watch it at this link...

that lead to opioids and then addiction. A cousin's husband had hip problems. They gave him opioids after a while. He tried one and said "nope I'm not doing this pill again" and returned them to the doctor lest he develop an addiction. I hope it was not drugs. I have heard tonight that he wasn't a drug user. Vibes to him and his peeps. Van Jones was almost in tears earlier.

I had some of those a couple of years ago. I got hives. I told the doc I would live with the pain if she could not find a non-opiod.

It was not only the hives. The drug scared me.

I don't remember if it was Vicodin or Oxycodone, but I do know that after one pill I tossed them and decided to simply avoid laughter and breath very shallowly for a few months. They made me feel horrible, though they were ridiculously effective at pain relief.

to codeine makes me a bad candidate for opioids, and I'm glad. Yes, they do hand them out like candy. I have a low tolerance level for most drugs, glad I'm not in need of them. Just went through that with my neighbor too, had surgery and was on opioids during the procedure on his hand and then was Rxed some and I had to go back and forth to the Dr and Rx because the Rx said he was allergic. He took the opioids and ended up with them making him really ill. I only had to have a bad reaction once to have no appetite for those things.

Doesn't matter to me, unless it's murder, the actual cause... he was alone and that sucks. Must have been his day.

Makes me really sad. No matter what people bring up about the man, I will always respect and adore him for his gifts to us because that's what really matters when it's all said and done. As an artist and musician, I am thankful to have been on earth to enjoy such unbridled talent.

Toronto, a very nice guy. I hope they talk more about the good works he did cause I had never heard about that part of him until today.

It's great that some with temporary, transitory problems can wait it out, but not everyone is so lucky to have problems that can be healed or fixed.

and the dose he is on works great for his chronic pain. Now that he is in a nursing home and no longer is walking he can be on a dose that really improves his quality of life.
