FLotUS dropped the hammer on wingnut nonstop bigotry aimed at PotUS and her. Dignity.

Michelle Obama Just BLASTED Conservatives For Their Racist Lies About Our President

.... ...praising the President’s ability to “stay the course” no matter what “kind of ugliness is going on at any particular moment.” Then she dropped the hammer, condemning the right’s use of “hateful and divisive language” directed at her husband:

“Charges that he doesn’t love our country. The time he was called a liar in front of a Joint Session of Congress. The nonstop questions about his birth certificate and his belief in God.”

She urged the graduating class to follow her husband’s example and address such unabashed hatred with dignity:

“Are you going to get angry or lash out? Or are you going to take a deep breath, straighten your shoulders, lift up your head, and do what Barack Obama has always done — as he says, ‘When they go low, I go high.'”

“That’s the choice Barack and I have made. That’s what has kept us sane over the years. We simply do not allow space in our hearts, minds, or souls for darkness,” she said. ....

I think she will be really happy to be out of the White House.

But we will never forget her. The Organic Garden, the Bee Hives, making homebrew with the honey. Telling kids to exercise and eat right. It's funny the conservatives hate her because she is black but she is a living example of self sufficiency and taking personal responsibility that they always tout. They just can't appreciate her because she's black and a democrat.

SHAME amerikkka!!!! Glad they went "high" because they were faced with people who will always live low. Strongest POTUS and FLOTUS this country has produced. Had to be with ignorance and hate they faced in the halls of our democracy.

She no doubt must have practiced at biting her tongue many times during her husbands stewardship. Now that Barack is winding down his term, she hopefully feels freer to speak her mind about all the horrid language and abuse they have withstood. Many Republicans should be shamed publicly for what they have put him through.

I love the authors "bio":
John Prager is an unfortunate Liberal soul who lives uncomfortably in the middle of a Conservative hellscape. John is the managing editor of Winning Democrats . He moonlights as a counselor at one of Barry Soetoro's FEMA re-education camps and as a HAARP weather control coordinator. John's life's aspiration is to rule the world with an iron fist, or find that sock he's been looking for.

Obama will have a place in history for shattering some of the biggest obstacles left. He will also have a huge place in history for saving the country from collapse, and from the Republicans themselves.

He got a form of universal health care started - and so much more. He will be in a rarified strata of history.
I think Michelle may well lay claim to being one of the top three or four FLOTUSes.

I certainly hope all this crap ends for them when they leave the White House but I fear it won't. The idiot racists in this country will continue to try to hound them.

The other guys? Surprised if their families even give a crap about them.

….do I believe the Bagger movement arose because of a sincere analysis of their economic and social condition. It was founded purely because they went bat s%#T over seeing Barack Obama in the most powerful position in the country. Their entire "political" movement is based on their visceral reaction to him as a Black man. That alone is the cause of the Bag Movement.

As time went on, pundits and funders, such as Koch, gave them rationales as "reasonable" covers for their behavior. But they are, and always will be, the sons and daughters of the Confederacy trying to reassert.

The Obamas had to put up with an entire, organized, hateful, movement. It's an incredible tribute to the Obama family that they have remained intact and unbowed.

The rest of the world knows exactly what happened in America with all this.

have learned well from them about appearances. They appear to be well-behaved, respectful young ladies. I haven't heard any stories about underage drinking, etc.

I may not like everything the president has done in office, but he and Michelle have been awesome parents and wonderful citizens. Taking the high road was the right thing to do. And their racist critics look petty and boorish.

Michelle, and their daughters have conducted themselves. Not one legitimate personal scandal over eight years in the brightest light imaginable. I had to laugh when they were attacking Michelle for "telling kids what to eat!" They have never embarrassed this nation, yet have had to deal with way more than any family that ever lived in the WH.

Meanwhile, we have never seen our President disrespected as Obama has been, by the Republican leadership (John Boner refused to attend a WH State Dinner, something never done before); Congress, (in obstructing things that they themselves had supported until Obama agreed with them); SCOTUS (Alito shaking his head in open disagreement at a State of the Union speech); the media (Bill O'Reilly interrupting Obama constantly and asking the most assinine questions; and Americans saying the ugliest, untrue, lies and off color comments.

Curious how the next POTUS will be treated.

…Mr. Brett Baier on Fox did same also. President O kept saying "if you will let me finish, If you will let me answer the question." It was terrible treatment toward a president especially our current president who has taken so much hate and racism, obstructs all the crap thrown at him and the president handled it so well. How I disliked so much the R-led Congress: John Boehner and his goons for the way they treated Pres. O. How Boehner lied and lied every time he spoke before his podium in front of the news media.

I remember when Pres. O first came into office. Pres. O's plan was to invite the "boys" in Congress over to visit the WH at least once a week, talk over things, and shoot the breeze, drink a few beers get more acquainted w/one another. Do you think that one person would accept. Heck no! The word was out never to accept/be seen with or talk to the president by any means. Only one Republican went to the WH and that was Mr. Eric Cantor.

What a pathetic bunch of goons.

and the press didn't do the Obamas any favors either. Imagine if a Republican President got interrupted with a "YOU LIE" comment at a State of the Union address. That rude person would have been forced to resign. Trump and Orly got waaaay too much publicity over the whole birther fiasco as well. Abysmal disrespect for the person and the office and on full display to the rest of the world. The Obamas always rose above the fray, and for that, they will take with them the majority of the country's appreciation and gratitude.

My mother is a 100 year old native New Yorker from Brooklyn. When I told her that Donald Trump was running for President she just shook her head and rolled her eyes. Her opinion of Trump is that just because you are rich, it doesn't mean you have class. She, a life-long Republican, voted for Barack Obama because she said that he and Michelle were a"class act". I agree wholeheartedly.

I love to look at pictures and video's of our President with children. They tell us so much about a person. The Obamas personify "family values". I will miss having them representing our country.
