But the US' regressive tax system, which caters to the rich anyway, doesn't require using Panama as a tax haven. Rich people in more progressive countries which have higher taxes on rich people and fewer domestic tax dodges, seem to be the main ones caught up in the Panama papers.

In any case, politicians by the nature of their work are associated with many thousands of influential people. Both Hillary and Sanders have been politicians for decades.
