"Toward the end of our tour, our bus stopped at a Greyhound station outside of Richard, Virginia, and I went off groggily to relieve myself not noticing the White Only sign on the bathroom. As I unzipped my fly in front of a urinal, I heard a low, hate-filled voice behind me. You let go one drop, youre a dead n----r. I turned to see a state trooper, standing there with his hand on his holstered gun.
It occurred to me that the same thing could soon happen to Laverne Cox in a few States. It was never about 'bathroom rights,' either then or now. It's always been about certain people wanting to put people they dislike in their place.

(45,251 posts)1. I'm far below Harry Belafonte in every metric, but I did say something similar.
America now has a right to know the traumas inflicted on Republicans during potty training that cause them to obsess over rest rooms in public places.
..........
P.S. None of this nonsense keeps male or female sex offenders out of rest rooms, or, for that matter, cameras. So, let's be honest: Potty issues are about baseless discrimination, not safety or privacy.

They are seriously insecure men.
Sex and potty are not the same, though. I've been in a lot of public restrooms over my life. To my knowledge, I've never been in a restroom with anyone having sex in the restroom at the same time as I visited.

in bathrooms. True they are also racist bigots and they hate anyone who does not conform to their uninformed ideas about everything.
They are afraid of their shadows.

(45,251 posts)6. Still, having sex and going potty are different, except for people with a certain type fetish.
