Some really, REALLY bad cops

http://www.cracked.com/article_23920_6-police-forces-that-were-more-insane-than-effective.html

- From 1961 to 1962, cops from the Denver PD robbed more than 200 businesses.

- 1998: Cop and KKK-member frames 46 African-Americans for drug-dealing. But don't worry: He got 10 years of probation for perjury.

- 1989: Washington DC police rounds up 24 prostitutes and makes them walk to Virginia to rid Washington DC of prostitution...

- Joe Arpaio streamed the inside of a jail via webcam, which is illegal. He staged an assassination-attempt on himself to get re-elected. And oh, so much more.

- 2012, the FBI put an undercover-agent into an LA-jail to corroborate reports of mistreatment. The jail-officials found out. Officially they released the undercover-agent. Unofficially, the booked him into a different prison under a made-up name. To prevent him from being a properly registered detainee, they "freed" and "arrested" him every 2 days, each time with a new identity. This went on for 18 days, until the US Marshals found the agent. The jail-officials stalled the investigation long enough to get rid of all incriminating records and it's still ongoing.

- 1985: MOVE was a black-power activist group, living in a compound with 65 homes in Philadelphia. They had killed a police-officer in the 1970s but had been peaceful since, except for being a pain-in-the-ass to their neighbors.
On March 13th 1985, the Philadelphia PD got a noise-complaint for the compound.
The cops tried to enter, but failed.
So they fired 10,000 bullets at the compound. Over a noise-complaint.
Then they literally dropped a bomb on the compound. Over a noise-complaint.
The buildings started to burn.
The Philadelphia fire-department refused to put out that fire.
The cops shot at people trying to escape from the fire.
When all 65 homes were burned down, the cops sifted through the rubble and arrested the survivors.
6 adults and 5 children were dead.
Nobody has ever been held accountable for this.
