Carly Fiorina Is on Ted Cruz Shortlist for VP Pick

Ted Cruz's presidential campaign has a short list of potential vice presidential picks that includes former rival Carly Fiorina, campaign aides announced Monday.

Cruz's campaign manager tweeted that they "have narrowed our VP candidates to a short list and are going thru the normal processes associated with picking a running mate." A top aide to Fiorina confirmed to NBC News that the former Hewlett-Packard CEO who endorsed Cruz earlier this year was on the list.

Following the tweet, Cruz told reporters "any responsible candidate, just a couple of months out from the convention, would begin that process."

Cruz currently trails frontrunner Donald Trump by almost 300 delegates.

The republicans have assumed from the start that HRC would be the nominee, and they need a woman on the ticket to be the Hillary attack dog. Carly will be seen as being mean, nasty and catty when she attacks Hillary, but SHE won't look misogynistic like a man would. I've assumed from the beginning that was the reason Carly was in the race.

She's like creep-like to his creep.

My guess is he's just floating a woman's name that people will recognize to get whatever he can from it right now. She was also a previous presidential candidate, and at this point people are reportedly worked up against the possibility of someone who was never even a candidate being shoved on them at the convention. This gives them a two-fer.
