I've been hearing about the warnings since early this am. Glad I don't live or drive though "the alley" anymore.

Stay safe!

far northwest corner of Arkansas close to OK, MO, KS, Demtenjeep. Rogers/Bentonville? They've been herding their children into the powder room during tornado warnings, but now that they've purchased a new home they plan to install a shelter below the garage floor. It's very small, but once the hatch is closed and benches folded down on all 4 sides it could hold neighbors too. I'll be very glad when it's in.

Take care.

a basement safe room where they could all go to bed, or relax in front of computer and TV , in questionable weather, but she tells me that's old-time thinking. These days they get good warnings safely in advance and the danger seldom lasts more than 20 minutes or so. I expect she'll be wishing for a nice basement family room now and then anyway.

Reminds me when we were visiting friends and out shopping antiques in the Sarasota area when 9 tornadoes hit in one afternoon a handful of years ago. We're old earthquake pros, but tornadoes were something very different. We felt it unwise to try to get back to their mobile home on the Gulf (oh, hell no!), and crawled from shop to shop of concrete block construction, never did come on a satisfactorily solid restaurant where we could relax over drinks. Nowadays we'd just settle for the drinks.

and we got an inch of rain overnight. I'm in northeast Oklahoma, about 35 miles east of Tulsa.
