the reporters can only hope for a "gotcha" question to get them a soundbite to put on the air. Trump produces soundbites which are what the networks want (and he produces them by the car load).

. . . . thanks to M$NBC et. al., even Golden Gotcha Moments won't matter the next cycle.

By 2024, if a candidate wants coverage, s/he will have to set kittens on fire on national television, or hurl chunks of raw ground chuck at the audience, or wrestle an alligator.

Shitty journalism, shitty politics, but it could lead to diverting performance art.
