He talks about Ronald Reagan all the time and I'm sure he thinks of himself as the second coming of St. Ronnie. Cruz is just filling in the check boxes now, following in Reagan's footsteps. Some have pointed out the parallels; how Reagan chose a VP during the '76 primaries, then lost. So Cruz, has decided to pick a woman now, to lose with, so later he can set himself up for a glorious 2020. Blech!

When Hillary lost the nomination to Obama, republicans, in their infinite wisdom, thought, "If we choose a woman for veep, Hillary supporters will vote GOP because they're women... They can't possibly actually care about issues that affect them." Now that it looks like Hillary pretty much has it sewn up, they hope that they'll split the women vote.

They might think Carly will immunize them against the effects of all their past anti-woman rhetoric... They really give women no credit whatsoever. I know many friends of mine (who happen to be women) have been Bernie supporters. They support him because of his platform, not his sex. Conservatives are so clueless.
