Assad has no qualms about doing something like that, especially with Putin holding his hand now.
Because al assad has such a sterling reputation with regards for human life?

(26,060 posts)Then refute it because you're "o brother" only tells me you have zero argument to refute it. The idea that anyone benefits from blowing up a hospital is ridiculous. And those that are just willing to give Russia a pass - with Putin in charge - are so far gone it's stupid. Why didn't anyone tag Iran? It's not like they haven't sent money, troops, arms and whatever else the wretched assad family needed. And for the record, if anyone thinks I'm taking sides, bullshit to that - we should completely stay out of Syria - let al assad and isis fight it out - it's none of our business and frankly, I don't give a shit who wins that battle.

(26,060 posts)with this? Hillar has zero power at the moment in case you've forgotten. You hate Hillary so that makes Iran an innocent little kitten? That's insane. And blaming Israel is pathetic.

(101,316 posts)A hospital in rebel-held territory is most likely to be bombed by the forces fighting the rebels - ie Assad's government. They benefit from their opponents not getting medical care, and more civilians fleeing the area so they can attack the rebels more easily.

(26,060 posts)But it just HAS to be the US or Israel or one of the allies. Because russia and iran are meek, harmless little kittens. This place is sickening sometimes.

(26,060 posts)wont consider Iran who has been sponsoring terrorism for decades, has given money, bodies, weapons and whatever else the assad regime needed. You just another who will blame the US, Israel or one of the allies just to deflect from the disgusting mullahs in iran. Pathetic.

(35,309 posts)Two sorts. Those who like Russia. And those who would be diminished by Russia's success.
Russia's denied the bombing, BTW.
Just as it denied having anything much to do with what happened in the Crimea. All the little pro-Russian lickspittles obsequiously mirrored the denial. They demanded not just proof, but proof beyond a reasonable doubt that it was Russians.
Until it those Russians there were awarded a commendation. Oops.
But then it was a glorious Russian victory over the forces of evil Jewish gay fascism. And to celebrate, there was a victory performance at which the Night Wolves brandishes torches as they danced in the form of a Nazi swastika.
I don't take Russian denial of bombing the hospital as proof they did. I merely regard it as pro forma. Russia might have done something bad. Therefore it's denied. If it didn't do it, I expect denial. If it did do it and it might hurt Russia's gaining more power on the world scene, I expect denial.
For example, it denied going into Turkish airspace. Except it did. Then the claim was that it didn't matter, the Turks were still unreasonable.
To Russia's denial in this case, I respond, blya.

(20,582 posts)Dear *,
VIDEO - http://www.msf.ca/notatarget
A few months ago, our hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan, was attacked and destroyed by the United States military. Just this week, an MSF-supported hospital in Aleppo, Syria, was hit by airstrikes, killing patients and staff.
This must stop. On May 3, the United Nations Security Council will vote on a resolution intended to stop future attacks against hospitals, patients and civilians in war zones. We have closely followed the drafting of this resolution, and now we need your help with our social media campaign to make sure it will be as strong as possible.
Specifically, Doctors Without Borders wants to make sure that this resolution will:
Reaffirm all countries' existing obligations under international humanitarian law (IHL);
Reaffirm the protection of all patients and health workers, regardless of their background, and ensure the impartial provision of medical care in conflict zones, as per IHL
Establish effective independent investigations to report attacks on medical facilities and hold accountable those who carry them out.
What can you do to help?
1. Watch and share our video.
2. Use the hashtag #NotATarget on Twitter & Share on Facebook
3. Sign up for our Thunderclap. We need at least 500 people to sign up before May 2nd.
4. Change your social media profile image in solidarity: Twitter & Facebook
5. Take a photo of yourself and share the photo on your social media: Print off one of our #NotATarget pictograms and hold it up for your camera. Share the image on social media with the hashtag #NotATarget.
I don't know what can help to stop these horrible, terrible attacks, but gladly pass along what they ask me to.

(55,445 posts)We don't have any fuckin' bombers in Syria, nor are we fighting in Aleppo...
I'm not sure what the "crickets" comment is for, since the answer is pretty easy to find.
Besides, if this was a U.S. operation, everybody would be screaming about it...
