Microsoft's Windows 10 nagware storms live TV weather forecast

Microsoft's relentless Windows 10 nagware has interrupted a live TV weather forecast, urging meteorologist Metinka Slater to upgrade.

The operating system suddenly popped up a box on screen insisting the station's computer be upgraded to the latest version – while Slater was on air describing thunderstorms rolling through Iowa, US.

The cyber-badgering blatted over her doppler weather radar, which was being broadcast on KCCI 8 News earlier today.

"Microsoft recommends upgrading to Windows 10. Gosh, what should I do?" Slater asked sarcastically.

I just think MS has been acting like a giant corporate ape about trying to get people to change. It's really excessive, so this kind of publicity bites them in the ass.

That's why Microsoft is so keen on getting you to upgrade. They want to sell your data.

For Win 7/8/8.1/10 users, this program will block the telemetry (real-time spying) that MS is doing on all of us.

These programs are free.

For Win 7/8/8.1 users, this mini-program will block the nagware and entailed downloading of Win 10.

If you don't think that telemetry is actual spying -- well maybe -- but only in the present tense. I strongly suspect that the invasiveness of telemetry uploads will only increase in the future. This basic user data (programs you install, websites you visit, search queries, etc.) is worth a lot of money to them.
