What's wrong with this picture? (Hint: Detroit today)

I went to the Detroit Free Press site freep.com and couldn't believe what was on the front page.

Basically this is your typical for-profit, click-baiting "local news" outlet in the online era: whatever generates traffic, instead of public affairs, is the top story.

Now, think about if teachers in Ann Arbor, Rochester Hills, or Macomb decided to hold a protest/strike over incompetent administration.

HOW is this local news without a water skiing mammal???

Whatever, local news has sucked for decades. I used to watch it for school closings. Now I have the Internet so no reason AT ALL to turn that trash on.

That's what was on when I turned on the TV today and they led with a Trump speech, changed the channel as fast as I could. I do the same thing with the national news, too, these days, and for the same reason. I'm watching more "Murder, She Wrote" lately, used to watch that with my grandmother, much less aggravating.

It's a waste of money when I have an Internet connection.
It's why we put the cable in her name, that way I don't have to have a Monthly Mad everytime that damned Charter bill has to be paid.
