June, 6 2012 9:39 PM
TALLAHASSEE Leon County election supervisor Ion Sancho went on MSNBC this evening telling program host Al Sharpton that despite the Scott administrations decision to continue on with its removal of non-citizens from the voter rolls, it wont happen.
Regardless of what the governor is saying in the letter to the justice department, quite frankly there will be no systematic purge of citizens from this point on by the states supervisors, Sancho said.
The general counsel for the Florida Association of Supervisors of Elections last week advised the states 67 supervisors to stop the process because of the Department of Justices objections. Given that the dispute between the state and the feds is not resolved, the local supervisors will likely hold off on the states orders for now, he told the Sentinel/Sun-Sentinel today.

There isn't one state supervisor who has said they are going along with Scott's defiance. Every supervisor who has given a statement has indicated that the decision to stand down from the purge is unanimous among the 67 supervisors. If you can find one that's going along, I'd like to see that.
