Things got extremely nasty today with Trump pushing the Cruz Sr. JFK conspiracy. Why would Trump go so negative when he knew he was going to win? My guess...He wanted to knock Cruz out emotionally. And it worked.

(3,585 posts)related to the presidency, he just enjoys the game of running.
That is how he can be turning 70 and not even know what the nuclear triad is, he has never cared, his own people say that they can't get him to do any reading on the wide knowledge that he would need as president, not even for debates and interviews.
The value in winning is merely to reaffirm his own personal awesomeness and he trusts himself to always be able to win over the crowd with personality and personal attacks against his opponent, all that knowledge stuff is for losers.
A Physicist from UCLA did a short study and said that Trump's nasty ego, makes Shatner's charming ego, look like tiny Pluto compared with the Sun.

(90,721 posts)...doing just that. I saw that epic rant of Cruz's and said, "Whoops, Trump finally got to him."
Somewhere behind the scenes Hillary must be doing daily emotional and verbal jiu-jitsu exercises getting ready for The Donald.
Intellectually, she's already formidably prepared on any issue in the entire world -- she has the experience, the knowledge, the poise, a tough skin, and a spine of steel. As Obama has said of her, Hillary works hard and she's wicked smart.
But that's not Trump's forte -- when he does not know something he deflects and blusters. Then he hones his personal attacks and catchy nicknames. "Little Marco" -- "Low energy Jeb" -- it just goes on and on, and it's always something he can use again and again like a knife. He's a master at this kind of extremely destructive bullying.

Mock him. (Woman's card was a good start.)
Ignore him. (My go to)
Talk about important issues. (He can't keep up with intellect.)
Meditate every day for as long as you need. Keep centered and don't let the fool rattle you.

(4,311 posts)I hope very much she's got someone playing Trump doing mock debates with her screaming every insult in the book, so she's mentally prepared for ANY possibility.
