So, the President is coming to Flint, today, and they still haven't released an itinerary!

First of all, I am so thankful that President Obama is visiting my home town. The visit was timed for after the big media hoopla of the initial news of what happened, and then the Democratic Debate had died down, in a way to let Flint know that we are not forgotten, and to keep the spotlight on our situation.

All of the tickets are gone - rightfully to people actually affected by the water crisis. And the doors open at 1:30. And I know he is stopping by the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and then on to Northwestern High School, where he will give his speech.

Rick Snyder has so graciously decided to make room in his 'busy schedule' to greet President Obama. How incredibly generous of him.

Unfortunately, we are in for some wicked rain and possibly thunder storms, today, so hanging around along the yet unconfirmed but probable route is out of the question.

Since I live really close to the airport, I'm hoping to at least see Air Force One arriving at Flint's Bishop Airport, or maybe departing.

Right before the line of limos gets close fall out in the street and fake a heart attack or something. You never know, he may get out and just want to ensure you are okay. If he does just say sorry, I'm okay, just had to do whatever I could to shake your hand

I'm pretty sure that when they do finally give out some details, people will be lining the route, umbrellas in hand. Unfortunately, also blocking the view of anyone behind them.

I just wish the weather had cooperated. They have been spiffing up the town, like crazy. If he was able to do a down town walk-about, to see the Flint River, in person, he could have strolled to 'The Torch', in Buckham Alley and had one of the best burgers on the planet. Puts his favorite 'Five Guys' to shame. and then stopped by the 'Flint Crepe Company' for some lovely dessert.

Maybe he can come back, after he leaves office.
