“The Old Mansplain and the Sea”: Twitter reacts to a book club only for men

Earlier today, The New York Times published a profile of The Man Book Club, a group of men in their fifties in Marin County, California whose mandate is: “No books by women about women.”

Very quickly, Fast Company and the tiny corner of discourse that is sometimes called “book Twitter” responded in kind with #manlybookclubnames.

The hashtag soon devolved from suggestions for book club names to dude-themed book titles. Here’s a selection:
