Here in Texas we sometimes get smoke from slash and burn operations in Mexico and it really messes with us, burning eyes, sneezing and coughing for the people without asthma. They are in real danger.

This is upper atmosphere smoke, does great things for spectacular sunset pics, but not yet enough to smell.

We DID have smoke smell a few days before the fire, but that is from farmers around the area who still burn their fields prior to planting.
