So this was the absolute highlight of my day. I often stop into a local gas station on my way home. There is a woman who works there who knows me well, but only in terms of what I buy. Beyond that I know nothing about her, she knows nothing about me. I'm just a regular customer. She knows what I buy and is ready for it.
I'd put her in late 40's, early 50's, white, fairly mundane. But an interesting demographic.
So on impulse tonight, (it wasn't really busy), I concluded my transaction and then suddenly asked her - "Got a question - what do you think of Donald Trump"?
She visibly recoiled, stepped back at least two or three steps, and then stared me in the eye wondering what I was up to.
She seemed to ponder and then stepped forward.
"I'd sooner vote for a rat crossing the railroad tracks than vote for him" said with a strong southern drawl.
I burst out laughing so did the two women in line behind me by that time. I laughed all the way home and am still laughing now.
Just a small note from Cincinnati, SW Ohio.

(3,580 posts)Who now have turned against him. I don't know any gop women who support him. A couple of men I know initially thought he might shake things up but now think he's dangerous.
I don't know any white supremacists so maybe they'll vote for him.
