Now THIS is some "funny" shit...
So kyw1060.com here in Philly has a story about an Asian dentist who was assaulted in his home. Apparently many Asian business people have had this occurrence in recent months. So the report has the usual intro and blah blah blah and in which township it took place and then the reporter states that the station was being very careful to hide the identity of the dentist involved. So of course the camera cuts to a shot of the dentist's office which has a big sign which displays the telephone number then there is a shot of the home which shows his address.
Of course I performed a Google search, found the name of the dentist, and although I didn't know him I certainly feel very sorry for him that the station was so "careful" to protect his identity however have enabled anyone who wants to rubberneck or perform another assault/robbery to do so freely.
So the moral of the story is: don't get involved with the media; they will do their best to destroy you even when they ostensibly are trying to "help" you. In this light, I cannot imagine why anyone would run for public office and expose oneself to the ridicule and slant of a journalist. That is, unless you've tied a dog to the top of your car and driven hundreds of miles and then, of course, you wish to run for the office of president of United States.
