Space so full of junk that a satellite collision could destroy communications on Earth
Artwork showing space debris in low and geostationary Earth orbit. Space debris includes thousands of inactive satellites, fragments of broken up spacecraft and equipment lost by astronauts. This artwork is based on density data, but is not to scale Photo: EUROPEAN SPACE AGENCY/SCIENCE PHOTO LIBRAR
Space is so littered with debris that a collision between satellites could set off an uncontrolled chain reaction capable of destroying the communications network on Earth, a Pentagon report warned.
Be sure and check this hot little date. Does Russia, China, the USA or the ENTIRE United Kingdom have the greatest diversity of expensive satellites orbiting over Afghanistan, where the USSR went bust and the USA spent plenty? Does either nation have even one bucket of sand and rocks to show for their investment? Well, at least two U.S. citizens, George W. Bush Jr. and Dick Cheney aka Halliburton continues to evade investigations by the US Federal Government.

12:00PM GMT 01 Feb 2011 Guess what? THAT was a few years ago Chinese bullies[still fucking with FBI, DHS, MI5, Interpol information systems and communications]! I think Xi is "naive" about ruling the world with "satellite supremacy." Oops, here comes another dominoe effect, in space
The volume of abandoned rockets, shattered satellites and missile shrapnel in the Earths orbit is reaching a tipping point and is now threatening the $250 billion (£174bn) space services industry, scientists said.
A single collision between two satellites or large pieces of space junk could send thousands of pieces of debris spinning into orbit, each capable of destroying further satellites.
Global positioning systems, international phone connections, television signals and weather forecasts are among the services which are at risk of crashing to a halt.
This chain reaction could leave some orbits so cluttered with debris that they become unusable for commercial or military satellites, the US Defense Department's interim Space Posture Review warned last year. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/space/8295546/Space-so-full-of-junk-that-a-satellite-collision-could-destroy-communications-on-Earth.html

China, the USA, Russia, England, Canada, Australia, France, Israel, Germany and now India have invested a great deal of money and resources in military satellites to say nothing about the mega-corporations invested in a diversity of orbiting technology.
Military satellites of several nations like inspiring video. Please do not miss the the advertisement for an original antiwar slide show, with music. It is presented before two original, combined satellite inspired pieces of media are presented.
Here is a cool Star Trek, Beyond promo...
In other news: Climate Change deniers resemble Holocaust Deniers in too many ways to be coincidental; but that is another story...
