'Shop Target' Day June 4

Faith-based and "family" groups want to boycott Target on June 4, lets show them our purchasing power by making our dollars count.
Recently Faith2Action, a “pro-family group,” has vowed to take back the restrooms at Target. They are planning to boycott the retailer on June 4 in what they are calling “Don’t Target Our Daughters Day.”

SDGLN, and its publisher Hale Media would like to make a call to action to not stop Target on that day, but instead SHOP TARGET.
“If there’s one thing the LGBT community knows how to do, it is to boycott companies that practice bigotry,” said Johnathan Hale, publisher of SDGLN.
“We also know how to SHOP! Please join me and all of us at SDGLN in our Shop Target campaign on June 4th.”

Spending your dollars at Target on Saturday June 4 sends a message to the retail chain that the community is on their side, and that we won't stand for bigotry or transphobia.
We at SDGLN and Hale Media believe that the LGBT community can counteract the "Don't Target Our Daughters Day" boycott by heading through Target doors and spending our money in unison.

Says Hale: "Let’s put our gay dollars to work supporting those that stand with us in our fight for full equality!”

It's lost 10 billion since they made the right decision. Being right can be costly. Support target on June 4th.

I was there this past week. They had 7 registers open and there was a line at each. I've been noticing a uptick recently. Even more difficult getting a parking space close to the store. Hope it's a trend. Target is my go to store.

If they are giving you a visual physical, that's sexual assault, in my book.

8. Weren't these morons already boycotting Target?

Didn't they start doing that when Target quit segregating the boy's and girl's toy sections?

When did that end? Why would Target even care about people, who already don't shop there, boycotting them?

16. That's a very good question: I suspect many religious zelots took oaths on the matter...

Boycotts so rarely work these days; but I suspect that many judgmental religious zelots swore they would never enter Target again to God or a similar deity.

but I currently have a problem with Target. Here in Pittsburgh about 3 years ago, there was a young woman who was being stabbed by a man at Target. Three men came to her rescue & saved her. They were hailed as heroes and the young girl's family has consistently thanked them & supported them. They have also come out against Target for their lack of security.

This past week Target sued one of the "heroes", stating that there had been a run in with assailant outside the store, and ran over into the store. Target asserted that their actions caused the assailant to stab the girl. The girl's family came up from Tennessee to support the man & to voice their disappointment with Target.

The jury was picked, however a deal was made and the jury and the trial was dismissed.

11. I find it really irritating that these groups only think their daughters are important.

I was sexually abused as a young boy by a male relative. I don't agree with this group at all and I'm going to continue to support Target by shopping there. I'm just saying that all genders are subject to sexual assault and not just the daughters.
